Toney Bronte Giraffe Note Card
High above the woodlands and grasslands of East Africa, where the branches meet the breeze and the clouds roll in like lullabies, Toney stood watch. Part lookout, part lighthouse, he was a familiar silhouette on the savanna: long-limbed, gentle-eyed, and quietly extraordinary.
Toney is a devoted birdwatcher—not the binocular-toting, notebook-scribbling kind, but the kind who just notices everything: the shimmer of a lilac-breasted roller; a new chorus in the canopy; the subtle tremble of a nest too hastily perched on a swaying branch.
During the wet season, when storms arrive with theatrical flair, Toney makes his rounds. He cranes his long neck toward the sky and spots them: nests teetering at the tippity-tops, chicks blinking in the gusts, feathers fluttering like frantic little flags. Always in the nick of time, Toney kneels—gently, gently—and offers his head as refuge.
Bird parents, at first skeptical, soon learn to trust the tall, quiet giant. They chirp instructions while Toney maneuvers his head just so, letting the nest slip safely between his horns. Sometimes, he carried one. Sometimes, two. Occasionally, a full-blown nest-condo complex perches precariously atop his head like a feathered hat of civic responsibility.
Of course, he never charges rent. “For the love of the birds,” he murmurs, as he weathers wind and rain alike. In the hush after the storm, Toney lifts his chin to the sunrise and smiles as the tiniest of beaks peek out from their penthouse nests and sing the morning awake.
And so, with a neck like a crane and a heart like a hammock, Toney continues to be the most beloved high-rise on the savanna.

Note Card, A6 (4.5” x 6.25”) with envelope in protective cello.
On the reverse of each card is a whimsical tale of the animal featured. Entirely collectible, the stories intertwine, creating a much-loved community of characters.
We print on a luxurious 318 gsm, 100% cotton paper. Soft and durable, this paper showcases crisp detail and vibrant colour. We fell in love with our beautiful goldenrod shade, 90# envelope. According to the ‘World’s Favourite Colour’ study, people associate the feeling of joy with this colour. Also, this is the very shade that enrobes our trusty #2. As all of our images are hand drawn in pencil, we thought it appropriate to give a nod of appreciation.
We donate a portion of gross sales to animal welfare.
